Nikki Villagomez is a designer, speaker, author, and a lover of typography. She is passionate about letters, signage, and interested in exploring how culture affects typography. She has spent the last five years collecting signs, typography, graffiti, manhole covers, and much more with her camera. She began sharing these typographic investigations in July of 2011. From this side project she began speaking at AIGA chapters, then larger national conferences, and then creating her first book about the collection called Culture+Typography. We will discuss this whirlwind adventure and how she organized so many images into a single book to share with the world.
